I know some people who have already got an interview through MAP (for medicine). But I don't think we'll hear from Manchester for some time -they're only interviewing half the applicants to what they usually do this year.

Don't worry, they carry on interviewing up to April, even if their interview numbers are lower this year, they'll take their time interviewing, and remember that they've still got thousands of forms to sift through. Also, they seem to interview later and later each year.

You'll read this so many times in the ensuing months: no news is good news.

Thanx for that. I was just wondering why the university asks for so much work experience and voluntary work when they dont even require any proof except for you to talk it through interview... iv done so much in 2yrs! and i could have jus relaxed in that time i spent working and made it all up in my interview lol!

Well you write about your work experience etc in your personal statement which is then used to select people for interview - so surely that's why you did it?!
