I'm not anti MRI, or anywahere, I was being facetious. What I would advise is that you try to ignore locations, and superficial things. Concentrate on where you will get the best teaching, the best experiences, and where you will be able to best develop your portfolio - since this will affect where you get your jobs and how well you will progress in your career (I know, a scary thought that decisions you make now can affect the rest of your life!!).

Incidentally, without question I would choose Preston given the opportunity again (a fact borne out by chosing Preston as 1st choice for foundation training)
    Thnx j00ni,
I think I'm the kind of person, who will find Hope as rather quiet for my taste, I know it is probably better, but my gut feeling tells me tht however bad MRI may be, it probably is going to be the place where i can breath in my own skin...I really hope tht this gamble pays off, cz i really dnt want to focus my energies in travelling all my life, I want to invest them in my training and hopefully be a good doctor at the end of the day!!!!
tc and thanx for the advice, I really wish tht things cud be easier but hey tht's life and we have to keep on living it!!!

yeah zainab are you trying to decide where to choose for 3rd year?? bit keen lol.. and also i've heard rumours we don't get a choice any more, they just allocate us a hospital at random for our clinical years.. and all the early experience we're doing at the minute is decided for us too.. so maybe you won't have to make that difficult decision after all..

    Hi Hendo_08,

U surely haven't missed anything. I was confused about this a while back, so was asking for advice from everyone really. Yes we did have to make a decision on which hospital we would like to go to, wether they allocate it or not is a different matter.Early experience comes all set for you, so matter of choice there. Tht is why it's called 'Early Experience'.....lol. So yeh you should be ok as i am a second year who hasn't been back for a while on this forum.
