Medicine Past Papers
Hi. At Keele University we are doing a Manchester validated programme, which leads to a Manchester degree. The library here is pretty rubbish tho, and we only have access to a limited number of past papers!
I was wondering whether it was possible for someone to get some Year 2Semester 3 (abilities and disabilities) past MCQ's, or any other papers, and message them to me? It would be so so useful (I think there are 16 Manchester MCQ's avaliable in the library here, which is ridiculous- I'm assuming there are so many more?)
thanks so much :0)

Hi Stella
As far as I can remember form sem 3 last year, there were no past MCQ papers available apart from the 16 that we have on Medlea. I used J00ni's from a while back just for practice although they are not quite the same as the new MCQ papers (2005 intake onwards).
Sorry to pour water on your fire................

We had our 'assessments' lecture today, and they said that the only ones that are available is the ones on MEDLEA which are the same 16 you have.
There is no stock pile of past questions as they said they are not teaching us to answer multiple choice questions they are teaching us to learn the information deep enough to answer the questions whatever that meansManchester Medic- 3rd Year

Thanks so much for your help! The 16 questions you lot have are the same as the ones in the Keele library, so at least I now know we are not at a disadvantage! If you come across any more, can you let me know, as that would be so useful, and I will do the same! Thanks loadsa and have fun in Manchester :0)

Hi Stella,
Can't offer any immediate help unfortunately, but I am in the process of developing an on-line revision tool that will give medical students access to UMAP style MCQs and EMQs as currently used in Keele and Manchester as well as 12 other schools in the UK. The plan is to tag the questions against the GMC learning outcomes blueprint so you can pick and mix as you choose.
I've set up a crude survey so I can gauge opinion and would be really grateful if you could give it a go (should take 5 mins tops). The more responses I can get the more support I can get to get it up and running.
Here's the link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...Wcidz48Q_3d_3d
Any suggestions are very welcome as the development is still in its infancy.
Cheers
