    Mature Applying for 2006

    Hi everyone

    I'm planning to apply for Manchester for 2006 - I'm a Zoology graduate with a 2:1 (from Manchester ), A-levels Biol A, Chem C, English Lit B. 9 GCSEs - all A's, one B in Chemistry

I know A-level and GCSE requirements are sometimes relaxed a bit for graduates, but I don't have a GCSE in Physics (which is specified for manchester) and maybe my chemistry grades could have been better too...

Question is - Should i spend the next 12 months getting myself an AS level in Physics and brushing up on my Chemistry, or would my tie be better spent getting more voluntary work?

I'm planning to ask the Uni whether they'd be interested in my application before i start applying in Sept- which seems to be the advice from a few other posts

Just wondered if anyone had advice - I'm 30 - will be 32 in Sept 2006 (eeeuw)

The first thing I would do is to ring the admissions office, as they will be able to give a definitive answer. I know that in the past they have considered graduates who have less than the required A level grades - but I assume the decision is likely to be on a case by case basis.

All I can say is that I wouldn't say physics knowledge is really needed to do the degree (tbh, neither is chemistry really!)
