please please can you give advice for manchester interviews, i really want to go to manchester, please gice questions and answers. advice thanks. i have an offer at HYMS but i want it as insurance , must go to manchester!

hey....dnt worry too much. i had my interview there on friday 11th. they wer really nice. hardest question was "u r the health minister for this country and the indian health minister writes 2 u complaining that u r taking away their gd nurses. how do u deal with the situation?" i had already said that i dnt think its gd that we do this so i had 2 keep my opinion so i said i agree wid the indian health miniser and that i wld make nursing a more attractive career for ppl in the UK.

whatever u do jus b confident. they r looking for ppl who r confident and stick to their opinions.they will def ask u y manchester and y medicine so jus hav those ready. i said the usual stuff bout wantin 2 care 4 ppl and that i love science etc but she was like "y not physioptherapy then???"

I got an offer following interview last Monday so here's my advice. Be yourself, Be confident, always balance any argument with a for and against opinion. Let them know how fab you think Manchester and the Uni is. Be confident and sure of your answer to Why medicine. My ethical-type question was about whether or not we should push money in to specialised surgery. I said we should but not forget the basics too. They asked what is the point to specialised surgery? I replied that we need to continously improve patient care and expand medical practice, used the example of heart transplants now being routine, if we hadn't taken the risk many years ago this would not be possible.
