Why Liverpool?
Hello everyone. I have an interview for Liverpool Med School on December 14th. I'm struggling on the question "why liverpool?" What is there about Liverpool that makes it stand out from all the others? The only reason I applied was because at the time I was convinced I was going to flunk my UKCAT and that no other medical school would want me and my worthless brain. Please help!!!

I find the local accent positively delightful to my delicate southern ears.

Firstly your applying to do medicine! YOUR BRAIN CAN'T BE WORTHLESS! Be confident!
What I like about Liverpool is the fact that I love the city as well as the accent! My family lives up there, I'm from Southampton and wanted to get as far away from here as possible. The fact that Liverpool is multicultural and has a giant Lamb banana (awesome thing!) is also pretty cool!
And I do like the look of PBL now that I have read up about it and spoken to a few PBL med students!
You be fine. Good luck and don't let the whole negative side show in interview!

Thanks for the advice everyone, although I'm struggling to find a detailed description of the course structure. The website only seems to provide a very basic one and I'm between moving houses so my mum has receieved half of my prospectus orders and my dad has recieved the rest - both are very forgetful and haven't re-directed them my way yet, plus i enjoy making life difficult for myself. I do know the School of Tropical Diseases is based in Liverpool but does the university have any connection with this?
