um, to be honest you are going to work your ass off in 4th year, so enjoy you freedom while you can. if you really want to do something, maybe start reading OHCM, maybe a case or two a night, as it's gonna be your best friend next year. but seriously - chill, you'll regret not having had some fun time when you're hunched in the foetal position crying next year

Can't believe I'm a fourth year now, it all seems dream like.
Man, time sure flies.
I agree with Chang, we should just enjoy this summer period. If you want to do some anatomy that's your business but if I'm not mistaken fourth year does have psyche, paeds and obs+gyne but in more detail....good thing I covered everything for this year. Weight off my shoulders.
I will enjoy my summer in the land of sand....I almost got into a car accident (Sandstorm fury) the night the results were out and I was celebrating. I kept thinking to myself " I do not want to go out like this!"
Anywho, after my near death experience I do think I deserve some heavy partying...I'll probably pop by Dubai or Bahrain (Dubai has better malls, Bahrain has better women)

Oooo! Lungs! Forgot all about lungs. They are marvelous your right. I'll drop the liver and slot those bad boys in.
Absolutely going to enjoy my summer and not work too hard. Only reason I'm doing any anatomy is that MY anatomy is so bloody poor in the first place. Seriously poor. Besides, once I am living at home with my parents for a month I'll need something to do. It is a tiny place with nothing to do and all my friends escaped a few years ago. I will of course travel around the country visiting them but i'll have to spend some time at home and there's only so often you can walk up a hill or through a forest before you begin wanting to do something with a bit more purpose.
Enjoying the sun shine today. Also enjoying wireless and it's ability to let me type this while sat in the garden sipping ice tea. Why can't every day be sunday? xLiverpool GEP 2007

I've been enjoying my weekends and evenings and ignoring the mounting list of things I'm supposed to be reading up on, oops. My elective is in Cardiology, but I haven't really looked at much to do with the heart for over a year, and hence I don't know much! I need to read all of ECG made easy by next week, read about heart failure and the NICE guidelines for treatment (gonna be quizzed about it), pacemakers, in particular cardiac resynchronisation therapy, know about heart murmurs and read up on various other things! But what am I about to now..? Go and watch the tennis!

I don't have a favourite organ, I don't like any of them

Personally I would just spend the summer relaxing as fourth year is a massive pain in the arse and it's best to start it fresh and relaxed having spent the summer doing absolutely nothing. In my opinion anyway.
Make the most of having a lie-in, sitting around doing nothing in the evenings and having a decent social life because those things will disappear as fourth year progresses.
I've done absolutely nothing today. It's such an odd feeling not constantly revising. Freedom!!

its weird isn't it? i read lord of the flies today in the garden, simply because i had no idea what else to do with my life, and had to stop myself attempting to skim read it with a mounting sense of terror, and reassure myself there was no exam at the end of it! but i think the results fear is starting to make itself known...

Kartageners symdrome - WOW, and sounds like he had dextrocardia to boot.
I remember feeling really guilty for reading fiction books after finals. Do you guys have SSM staright after? Lord of the Flies is a great book, I remember reading it due to the fact that my crappy comprehensive school never taught us any of the literary classics, to kill a mocking bird, catcher in the rye et al, so I read them myself as an adult. Quite sad really isnt it, the state of some of our schools (*plots best way to lie about post code to get child into grammar school*) (*disclaimer - has no children yet)

Didn't you miss out the word "medical" before the schools?
Feel flat after the exams have finished, i never get that worked up about exams as in the grand scheme of things they are pretty insignificant. No one knows how good a doctor we'll make until we actually start doing the job.
I'm also resigned to resitting the OSCE next month so i know that its not over yet.

OSCE fail - what a surprise
It seems to be called "consultation skills" now
I actually thought my consultation skills went very well on the day as well, i can't be assed going over those clinical skills sheets for about the 10th time, and they aren't any use anyway.
Passed everything else
Is Locas just a 55/85 pass or does it get graded at 55/65/75/85?
How did everyone else get on?
