Attention Liverpool 2008 Applicants - Liverpool's Admissions Requirements

So it looks like for normal A levels applicants to the 5 year, the GCSE requirements have gone up (I think - I'm sure it never mentioned 9/7 GCSEs at minimum grade C).
Grad applicants for the 5 year now need to already have graduated with at least 65%, need BBB(b) taken in the normal 2 year period, as well as the GCSE requirements going up.
Grad applicants for the 4 year now need to already have graduated with at least 65%, need ABB(b) taken in the normal 2 year period, as well as the GCSE requirements going up.
I think it's unfair now that final year degree students can no longer apply!BSc Hons Pharmacology 2004-2007

it's way more than 9/7 GCSE's at min C
They say 15 points from a max of 9 subjects.
I got 6 A*'s and 3 B's and that is exactly 15 points!! how lucky I am.
What is interesting is when I asked the admissions they told me that someone with 16 points from GCSEs would have an advantage over me!
I have mentioned that in another forum I know! I don't have any medical problems!
I'm just angry a bit that's it
shall I apply then?University of Southampton

maybe when they said that they meant if you and another person performed exactly the same at interview etc and your GCSE grades were the only distinguishing factor. obviously if you've got better grades than someone else, you are going to have an advantage, but it depends upon what weight the uni decide to put on it. they may find that you did some sort of work experience that far outweighs the grade advantage the other guys got. its not about having a fantastic set of grades and no experience, or visa-versa, its about all your attributes together.

lol, hell yeah... i'm going to get them to pay me commision...
liverpool was my fourth choice of uni - same as you, i just stuck it on the end because i couldnt figure out which other one i wanted and it was the closest to home. but now i'm here, i would put this at number one every time. the city is fantastic, the course suits me down to the ground, and its an incredibly friendly place, even at hte interview - its like they really want you to succeed. so yeah it was deffinitley the right choice for me."The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease."

super ! lol
One big big question and promise to be my last one CHANG!
when doing PBL in your group. what happens if you feel lost? clueless I mean. what if you get only half the objectives down on paper as you're supposed to. (I've heard when you get a case you need to write down your own objectives and work towards them).
I'm pretty confused about the fact that what would happen if I get confused while studying.
and one related question to that one. when it gets to exam time. how do you that you know enough? how do you know if you have missed anything.
there are loads of question sorry! I'll be happy with a brief answer.
thank youUniversity of Southampton
