yeah it's so annoying, everyone i speak to are just like yeaaah haven't started yet or hardly done anything...yet these people got top marks in formatives!! i'm quite worried, but we do have 2 weeks after the last module for the written papers. i did a bit at the start of easter then did none the 2nd week and have started again this week. i'm confused though, looking through the learning objectives of my group and others.. i don't remember a lot of them coming up as questions in the exam..actually all i remember is blood supply and skeleton!! does anyone remember what other kind of questions we had?

    hey, cheers for being honest.

ive forgotten most of what was on the paper aswell. for s+f, there was:
    - stuff on the nephron and labelling the different parts
    -labelling the circle of willis
    -the cardiac cycle graph

cant remember much more to be honest.i think we only have a week after the last module...the exams on the 25th.

oh thanks, that triggers a little bit. i wish they would've just given us the papers back, would make it so much easier to know where i'm going!

the osce's start on the 25th but the written exams aren't until the 2nd june i think someone said before that if you had your osce early last time, they are reversing it for the summatives.....which if true, really sucks cos last time we had the written before the osces started and i had my osce straight after. if the written exams are after the osces this time and i'm last, i have yet no break in between argh >.<

When I was in first year there were all sorts of rumours re: osce dates and doing them early in the summative if you did it late in the formative etc...all utter rubbish. I think the names got drawn out of a hat so that the allocation was completely at random.
Serious bit of advice - don't forget population perspective, IGS etc. Although you might not think that equal weighting will be given to all these subjects, believe me, it will. It can be very easy to concentrate on S&F, because this seems the most "medical" subject, but you'll mess up if you neglect the others.
If you're well into your revision now you're doing the right thing; if you haven't started, then it's time to hit the books. Get study groups together and practise osce's on each other - and mark each other harshly (try not to give anyone a nervous breakdown, mind!) because in the real exam if you don't do it properly, you don't get a mark.
Good luck everyone. Don't stress, keep on with your outside interests - playing footy kept me sane through 5 years - and if you're really struggling, talk to someone about it. Come on here and moan if you feel the need.

If I remember correctly we had:

    Stuff on immunity
    Defining those metabolic words
Those lung definitions - tidal volume etc
    Bones
    Latin words
    Circle of Willis
    MRI of the aorta
    Graph of the cardiac cycle

and that was about it - not too relevant to PBL I didn't think and alot on the HARC booklet - wish I'd read it!!!!!!!
