Can grads who've applied to the 4yr course get offers on the 5yr course?

    Hi,

Does anyone have any idea if Liverpool consider people who have applied to the 4yr grad course for the 5yr course - if that makes sense?

I've applied to the 4yr course but haven't heard anything yet - anyone know when they are interviewing grads/sending out rejections? I'm really worried and am regretting applying for grad entry

    Thanks,

    Colette x

I've also applied for the 4 yr

Hi, I'm also a Grad. I haven't heard anything about a possible interview from L'Pool. It's been a bit worrying reading all the school applicants talking about their interviews. I haven't heard when Graduates are interviewed, why don't we both take a Chillpill & enjoy the festive Season?

Last year they interviewed the bulk of the graduates straight after Christmas in early January.
I received my interview invite in late November.
This year they seem to have not contacted any grads yet (AFAIK). I did get a circular email last week mentioning an outbreak of illness in the medical office so maybe that's put a delay on things, so i doubt you'll hear anything before the new year now. They interview into April anyway so don't panic (yet!).

With regard to applicants for the 4 year being considered for the 5 year, well i really don't know but at the end of the day it's up to the admissions officer to do what they want to do with their places so it's certainly possible. I've certainly heard of people applying for the 5 year being offered places on the 4 year (Vixter for one).

I applied to Liverpool for the 4 yr course to start Sept 2004 and got offered an interview for the 5 year course instead. I came for interview and got an offer but managed to get a 4 year offer from Warwick so I turned Liverpool down. So it is possible.

And it was March before I had the interviews - so don't give up hope!

I applied for both the grad and 5year at Liverpool last year, got a place on the grad course(turned it down) and they rejected me for the 5. I wouldn't worry too much as Matt says they only sent out interview offers really late. Mine only came at the start of Feb.

    The answer is yes

    Hi
I'm in the 1st year for the grad course but I know that several people who only applied to the 4 year course got offers for the 5year course post interview. Don't worry about not hearing yet. They like to look at the grad applications really carefully as there is no much competition. The 1st lot of interviews were in February last year (around the 14th) and they lasted for a while after that. Just to let you know thou...if you are in the 1st lot of interviews you won't hear until they have interviewed everyone that they want to. Therefore the longer you wait doesn't mean the less chance you have of getting in. Good luck everyone and if you do come to Liverpool you'll have a wicked time!
