I was just wondering whether anyone has sat this extra curricular exam??
Im being entered into it this year by my chemistry teacher and was just wondering what people thought of the paper itself? How hard is it in comparison with an A level paper?
I believe its multi-choice, and that there are 50 or so questions.
I did the Biology Olympiad, and if it's the same, then yea it is multi choice, but 2 different types of multi choice. Better to ask your teacher to see a paper.
This exam was good fun but too hard for me lol. If you are to suceed in this exam you must understand all the concepts upside down, inside out, round and round...The exam is just different compared to A-levels and the questions far more thought provoking, not to mention challenging. I wouldn't take this too seriously, just enjoy it and be proud you competed in the Olympiad. In terms of chemistry, it's 'refreshing' compared to A-level studies.
Rejection here too :( fairly gutted. Thought my interview was ok. My interview was back in November and cos of the long wait I got my hopes up that I actually had a chance... Just southampton to hear...
They must just give out the rejections first and then the offers.
Good luck for Warwick! I only have Bristol left and doubt I'll get in so probably will be applying again
Yes I thought the odds were approx 2:1 which is good but my interview didn't go very well. I was hoping that an excellent reference from my boss would have saved it but I guess it didn't (and that's...
