The day of reckoning looms...
How you all feeling about chem, not looking forward to Aug 19th - chem really is the bain of my life. Just wondering how all u AQA and EDEX ppl found ur exams - salters was ok, what I expected I guess which was good in a sort of difficult way :roll:

AQA was hard as f**k! Especially the synoptic which definitely was muliple guess not choice! Oh well, nothing more i can do, just gotta wait till the 19th! :?

o my god i agree AQA was sh*t !!! module 5 was aright till the end question what the hell was it on about!!!
And i am agreeing with u mod 6 was a guess! i am dreading results day i am thinkin i might need to go to the pub before gettin results!

Well, I'm going to be applying this year (to *fingers crossed* start med school in '05)....so it's my AS chemistry I'm panicking about at the moment!!!! Arghhhhhhhhhh.....so going to do badly

ahhhh thats not too bad then jo! you can still retake a module if it didnt go as well as planned

AS chemistry was horrible !! but i think that quite a few other people thought so too, hopefully thats a good sign!!
I'm hoping for a B in chemistry, but would it still be worth me aplying for medicine if I get a C ?? I'm so worried bout the chemistry !!

If medschool is where you want to be then apply. A C at AS is hardly the end of the world. You can retake modules anyway, in your second yaer to bump up your grade. Unis use predicted grades newayz

not trying to be a killjoy, but things have change Mmmm, before they would of accepted someone with BBC, now the stakes are raised they want ABB- next year AAB-coz as u know much more ppl want to do med (so some godforsaken reason
) competitiveness is off the scale

Indeed, things have changed. But I don't think that Newcastle would EVER (not even two/three years ago) accept someone with BBC!! I don't even think they allow people to drop from AAB to ABB!
