From what I know, medical schools these days do not consider re sit candidates. Usually, the grades do have to be achieved within two years.
Still, it is definitely worth calling up each university individually and talking to someone over the phone - you get more advice than just reading entry requirments!
Hopefully, it ll all be ok and you ll get into medicine!! good luck

If you really don't want to undertake another degree first, there are some universities that DO accept a third year. I know for a fact (a friend has got an offer from UEA and took a year out) that University of East Anglia do a medical course and look at A levels if you've taken them over a three year period. Not overly sure if you need certain mitigating circumstances or not but it's worth ringing up to find out. If this is the case, make sure you do something productive with your year, working full time as an HCA whilst volunteering preferably!
As Hayley said, most uni's want your grades achieved over a two year period, but it's always worth giving them a ring and seeing what they can do for you.
Best of luck!GEP applicant.
