Extenuating Circumstances??
Hi,
I am taking my AS levels right now, however 5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with pericarditis and told to stay in bed for two weeks as my heart was very week. This meant I could not do any work as stress or anything like that caused me great chest pain. I was wondering if this counted as extenuating circumstances? If so how will Uni's look upon this?
Thanks

Probably one of the better reasons for extenuating circumstances that uni's will come across. Contact the universities that you're thinking of applying to to seek their advice. They'll be best prepared to answer any questions you may have. Make sure to have notified your school/college of your situation so that they can also best help you, notify UCAS, or even write it in the reference they'll send to UCAS that you managed to plow through stressful exams in such a condition!
All the best- I hope you get well soon!
