    edexcel unit 5

is there anyone else outhere, who like me, believes that paper was over the top, and will stop me getting into med school.

every section on that paper was a struggle, especially the gaseous composition one, in which literally a part of me inside just died.

    Praise the lord - yes!

I don't think I've guessed so much in any exam in my life. It was like they took every nasty question from the past papers - the ones that you have to spend half an hour looking through your notes before you work out how they got the answer - and stuck them all in one paper. Bastards.

Pretty much everyone thought it was hard though so they'll probably adjust the marks a bit - so I might get 10% instead of 4%. Great.

Anyway, you're not alone. I should have spent this weekend going over paper 6 but I hate it so much I can't face it.

Would it be controversial to start an 'I hate chemistry' thread in the chemistry section? It's got to be more fun than doing some chemistry revision

the most bitch ass thing about revising for the chemistry synoptic, and in fact any synoptic paper,
is the fact that i now have to go through all my notes again, and relive all the mistakes that i made in all the units ( i did all 6 in june ).
It kinda goes against my ritual of burning all notes after the exams, but i'll probably have to keep them all this year for DAMN RESITS ops:

So what did everyone think of the synoptic today? I thought it was really good actually. They were probably trying to make up for unit 5 being so harsh.

It really worrying that they only change section A of the paper. It means that the cheats would still know Q2,3,4. I think the grade boundaries will be really high for this paper.

I do actually think that unit 5 will stop me going to uni too. Oh well at least its all over now.
