if you were to get poor a levels do you stand no chance of doing medicine?

if you get below AAB then you would either:
a)resit your A levels and pray that the med schools take you. Most med schools don't accept resits except if the person was gravely ill or something.
b)apply for a foundation course. There are much less places on these courses than the normal medicine course but they accept people with significantly lower A levels.
c) do a degree in biomed or something else then apply as a graduate. This would mean spending more money, getting into more debt, spending an extra 3 years studying for that extra degree, and facing more competition than the normal 5 year undergrad medicine course. However, at the end of the day, you'll have an extra degree, would have matured more, and shown your passion and motivation to study medicine.
so the best option is to get AAB or higher and avoid getting into this situation in the first place.GKT 1st Year Medic!
