What A-Levels should you take to get into medical school?
What does it mean when it says on Medical School Entry Requirements that the schools do not except re-sits. Does this account for just A-Levels or does it include GCSE aswell?

you need Chemistry A level. You should also take biology because otherwise you will be limiting yourself quite a bit a and the a levels link in with each other. The other 2 doesn't matter as much. Some unis require another science or maths but it doesn't matter that much. Physics at AS can hhelp you with the BMAT to a certain degree but the essay writing involved in something like history or english can help you in medical school and beyond. imo you should choose the last 2 based o nwhat subjects you enjoy.
resits is when someone doesn't achieve the required A levels (e.g. AAC) and they retake an entire a level after the 2 year period (in this case, the C). Most unis that accept resits only do so if the circumstances resulted in the person getting that C. GCSE resits you'llhave to phone the relevant unis about honestly. Some would prefer you to resit rather than not meet their minimum GCSE requirements, e.g. BSMS, whilst others may not accept it or may disadvantage you.
GCSEs: 9 A*s, 3 As

Take Biology and Chemistry, and 2 other subjects you enjoy and are good at, remembering that if you want to apply to Cambridge you'll need to take either Maths or Physics.

It probably depends on the GCSE. If you're retaking maths because you got a D in it first time and their minimum requirement is a C then they might be iffy about it, but if you're just sitting German or something because you're interested in it then I can't see there being a problem there. The best thing is just to ring up and ask them.
