    Cool Problem Based Learning vs. Traditional Learning

    As a prospective medical student, I have found that one of the major criteria for dividing increasingly similar medical courses is the style of teaching- problem based learning or traditional style teaching.

    Does anyone have any experience or opinions on problem based learning, advocated by such universities as Keele? Does anyone know of any other medical schools that use this technique? (I know of Liverpool and Manchester, but unfortunately my subject choices don't make me eligible for these courses- going off on a tangent here but is it really true that Manchester doesn't accept Art at A Level?)

    Glasgow, Manchester, Keele, Liverpool, Peninsula, Hull-York, East Anglia, Barts and The London. Personally, I really like the idea of PBL!

    Of course, I guess all courses have aspects of PBL, but I'm really looking forward to a course with a strong PBL basis I really like the idea too!
