Hey guys, I'm 2009 applicant but just a few words of advice: for now, work hard, play hard. Try and get the work experience 'ball' rolling by Easter and preferably placements confirmed by May half term holiday. Keep a diary when you're on your work experience - it really helps when it comes to PS writing and interview preparation.
Try to start some volunteering if you haven't already. Go to as many open days as you can! They give you good application advice and a better feel for the university than any prospectus will ever give you.
Keep your uni options open - I can assure you where you think you're going to apoly now will change drastically by the time you're actually applying. Look into different course structures and see what you think would suit you.
Remember the better you do academically this year, the easier it'll be next year!
Try to start drafting your PS by the end of the summer holidays. It makes it a lot easier for when you go back at the start of the next academic year because the UCAS deadline creeps up on you very quietly, trust me! (Plus you'll probably have internal school deadlines before the UCAS one)
And finally, please ask for help in the forums or PM me or any of the other people who have already applied if you need help or advice.

    Good luck guys
