Stand a chance? Very Confused!!!
Ok here it goes:
GCSE's
4 A's
2 B's
4 C's
AS Predictions:
Biology A
Law A
Psychology C
Drama A
What do we think? Any possible chance i could go for Medicine with Foundation year?
And also, am considering dropping either Drama or Psychology to take Chemistry (which i should have done in the first place!!!). Is it worth it? Given that i will only get an ASgrade anyway?
Thanks!

Chemistry is an essential really, I'd try and do the full A2 in a year.
the GCSEs will also limit where you can apply.
With enough voluntary work etc you should have a chance, though you really should go for the chemistry A2.Second year medic, St-Andrews.

Thanks, i will look into it.
On the work experience side - my school one was at a primary school working with 4 and 5 year olds (pants i know, but the school lost my app form for my first option). But i have been volunteering at a Residential Home for the past year which should count something towards experience?

If you stick closely to the specifications it shouldn't be too hard.
(you can find them on the OCR website, if you go through learning objective at a time it shouldn't be too hard)Second year medic, St-Andrews.

My school one was in a florists so dont worry, urs prob fares better. You had experience with people thats really what counts. The home will def count towards valuable experience. Try and write ur thoughts down so that when u start writing ur ps u remember specific people and problems u encountered, how u felt etc so u dont jus write the everyday jobby things u did, which dont really count as u *growing as a person*.
Most uni's want an A in eng, maths and 2 sciences? so as long as u havent got Cs in those u should be OK for a lot of unis. UEA only look at GCSE grades as the very last determining factor and only then if 2 applicants are reallyy close cos they think its discriminatory against boys apparently.
MAKE SURE U CHECK WHAT UR UNI'S WANT BEFORE U PUT THEM DOWN AS CHOICES. For e.g Peninsula have a grade boundary of ACC, but i've heard they only interview those predicted 3As, so i'd ring up and hope u get a nice person who's honest with u.
good luck!Imperial College 2008
