That I'm afraid is exactly the reason why you shouldn't really be thinking about doing medicine right not. Medicine is not something you should be going into unless you are almost certain it is what you want to commit to- and for the right reasons. Its not just 11/9 years of training then you're a GP/consultant, you're going to have to keep learning for the rest of your life. I really feel you need to explore a bit more of the world first- see what options are actually out there that you might enjoy- and only then, if medicine still seems like the be all and end all to you- work hard on getting your application to a level where you stand well against the competitition.

I also understand that money seems important to you. I think theres a little bit of us all that wants to live a finacially comfortable life. But as the above person said, you can't equate money with happiness and its far more important that you're leading a happy, fulfilling life than earning x grand a week.
