Hi Just a warning.
I changed banks to the RBS last academic year & they left me without any money last week whilst I was on holiday in a foreign country.....nice !!!
I'd been informed verbally that the RBS would set up a free overdraft for me. Whilst I was waiting for some money to clear into my account, I telephoned them from France to ask why I could't withdraw money from any cashpoints. I was asked if I was the "type of student who moves addresses quite a lot"?
When I confirmed this, I was told that was probably why I wouldn't be getting an overdraft ! ---- Are there any other types of student ?
I informed the bank staff that I had no fuel in my car & no money for accomodation or food .............
TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT, THEY SHAFTED ME !
Whatever incentives RBS offers this year, I'd suggest it's not worth going without proper food for 5 days wondering how you're going to get back to your own country without fuel for the car.
