I had a tutor in year 8, hated it but I wish i'd have carried it on and got those extra four marks for that A, argh!

Getting a tutor would be a good idea for that extra bit of help when preparing for your resit.
Personally, I preferred to study on my own. Had trouble concentrating when my teachers were explaining things in school, and it'd definitely have been harder for me to not day dream if i was getting one-to-one tuition.
Angharad, if you think you're the type who'd benefit from a tutor then go for it. I'm sure a friend would be willing to help you revise.

I agree with Nasira. I could never study with a tutor, i think i would just feel uncomfortable and be unable to study what I want. Maybe a study group would benefit you. Get some friends round and study what you all find hard.
