mmm, not sure, the question about the amino acids was a bit random.
Never mind though, not too bad.
Good luck with your other exams!

yea i agree, what did u put for the question all about why the amount of calcium ions concentration was higher even though the plant absorbed calcium??

I did this module today. Didn't actually need to, but I put down to do Unit 3, and they entered me for both (so ended up sitting both!) Didn't think it was too bad, but have no idea what kind of grade I have. Just keep reminding myself I have a B at AS whatever happens lol, or I would get seriously stressed about it. Glad it's over though... just the small matter of 5A2s in June :s

I did spec B module one and two.. they were both alright I found and if the grade boundaries were as low as last year I'd have definately got an A in both - if not then I'm abit worried.. still I can make it up in A2.

A question that stumped me though was about the potassium ion concentration in the roots and how the graph proves that active transport is taking place.

Ahh yeah, I did spec A but we had that same question. I couldn't prove it was by active transport... so I just said the concentration in the final solution was lower so potassium ions must have moved into the plant.

I did spec a, i thought it was an okay paper, tho some questions were a bit weird, the ion one being an example.. I liked the 6 markers about starch and tissue fluid!
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

yeh, i asked one of my mates at college today and they said about the potassium ion thing; that diffusion takes place until it reaches equilibrium between the solution and the cell and then active transport takes place as the ions are moving from a low to high concentration.

i didnt put that but to be honest theres nothing i can do about it now so i dont really care!!
