Well, you guys aren't alone - i think there are a few that haven't heard. I don't know what Leicester's admissions system is - but i know that some have received offers and others rejections - so maybe those of us that haven't heard are on some kind of 'maybe list'? But at least we haven't been rejected yet
and that's good so we should stay hopeful
I read a few of last years posts and there were several who received offers as late as march and even april. This is also my last chance - i got three rejections without interview - i loved the feel of Leicester med school when i was there for my interview - so i too am waiting very very nervously

Oh no ! i'm not completely sure if rejections have been given out yet - i just assumed they had. I called admissions a few weeks ago and the lady said that they were about to send out a batch of letters - she checked and said that i wasn't among them, but that this was a good thing - so i assumed they were rejection letters! I read a few last year's posts and seems that they sent out offers and rejections in Feb - as well as more interviews - but now i want to go and read them again to check. This forum seems to have been quiet this year so who knows what's going on! - although it does seem that quite a few offers have been given out - and they don't have that many to give out in total so i don't feel very hopeful

This wait is so stressful - i nearly have a heart attack every time the postman arrives! I want it to be over

Hey Guys,
I remember this feeling from last year soooo well!! From experience of last year and previous years the bulk of offers where sent out around 21 Feb and a few other offers came in drips and drabs right up until the end of March beginning of April. I was one of the ones whos offer of a place was put on hold for the GEP (waiting list basically, awaiting rejections from GEP applicants who had been given offers), I was told I had gained enough points (like a few others) via interview to get a place on the GEP but as the competition was so stiff they had to go back and look through everyones whole educational background to separte the students for offers. My GCSE's unfortunately were the thing that let me down (I was advised of this when I got an offer for the 5 year course), around the 7th April I received an offer for the 5 year course and as I accepted it was then rejected from the GEP..
Hope that helps to clarify a bit better whats probably going on in the admissions office now. You will all hear very soon and I hope its good news
fingers crossed for everyone!!
P.S yes this time last year people had already received rejections so if you hav'nt heard it is still a good sign
If I can help in any way let me know!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.. Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it!!

Hello! Thanks for the post, that's helped to clear things up a bit. (However my GCSEs and A Levels are rubbish so it doesn't give me much hope!) Can I ask when it was that you found out you were 'on hold', did you contact Leicester or did they tell you? This waiting game is no fun at all! Thanks

Curlysin - thank you for all of that information! It was helpful. Tigerlily - my GCSEs and A levels were quite poor - so it doesn't look great for me either ... BUT at least we didn't get rejected straight away - so there is still some hope

It was around the 25 march I was advised I was on the gep waiting list or effectively on hold and 2 weeks later got 5 year offer. I remember the sinking feeling in my heart when I received the on hold for an offer letter I was gutted! But no news could still mean good news. So chin up peeps
