I received an email from Leicester today telling my that I will be receiving an official offer through UCAS. I was really quite surprised as I just had my interview on Monday and I didn't think it went all that well. Of course, there's always the chance it was sent by some horrible mistake.
Has anyone else received an offer?

Anyone know how many offers Leicester give out?
They interview around 1000 i heard, but their medical school is quite small

The intake is about 160 for the 5year course and around 60 for the 4 year course. So i guess they will give out around 250 offers (5 year) or 100 offers (4 year) assuming that many people will either fail to get the grades or take up places elsewhere.

They may be giving out offers for international students as they go (i'm assuming that Laura_K is an international student as she's from Canada). For Home/EU they will probably wait until after all the interviews. Don't worry and be patient.

I am an international student. But seriously, the idea that it was sent by mistake is a legitimate fear. It seems way to early to have received an offer.

I'll ask my Canadian medic friends when they got their offers if you want, I'll probably see them at brunch tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure you get them way early seeing as it probably takes a lot more planning to get yourself here as an international.

I've worked it out!

They have a set number of places for international students, and for UK students they say they do all the interviews then do offers.
Well they have finished interviewing international students, and have therefore given out offers.

From what i have heard international students get offers withing 1-2 weeks of their interview.
