Dissection?

Just wondering if Leicester does full body dissection? I know it's probably up here somewhere but I can't find it anywhere... Thanks.

Yup, one of the few schools that still does. All the unis I applied to do it, so it was nice 'personal' touch on my statement.

Yeah, though not straight away.... your first taste of dissection is in the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular modules during the 2nd semester.

To be honest, I never really enjoyed dissections.... in hindsight a big mistake was never reading about the anatomy in advance. hence, invariably, it became an exercise in just aimlessly slicing n dicing :|

Not sure about the Warwick thing, but it is mainly dissection or prosection. I think they have the odd plastinated things, but I haven't seen any yet.

If you're on the grad-entry course you are dissecting from the start as part of the GI module. Having proper dissection is such a big advantage in the long run, what with the fact that real people tend to differ somewhat from the pictures in textbooks.

Nop, there's a shortage of cadavers and a lot of schools think it's a pointless exercise, so they use models and prosections instead.
