Hi BenH, what kind of questions do they ask at interview for the GEP - is it similar to the 5 year course? Got my interview next week and would appreciate any advice from somebody who clearly did an alright interview! Cheers, Hannah

Any more GEP applicants got an interview yet (I haven't)? It seems lots of undergrad interviews have been given out but not too many GEP yet, is this what everyone else thinks?

If these boards are anything to go by, it seems only a handful of people have been called for GEP interviews I think I've only come across one interview for the Leicester GEP.

I've applied to SOTON and Leicester GEP. Also have applied to 5 year course at SOTON and pre-medical at Bristol. No news.
I am expecting not to hear anything until the new year.

Questions are pretty much what you'd expect. As graduates, they are going to want to know how you fulfill the criteria outlined on the website. Means lots of answers drawn from your previous experience, such as how previous studies and work have prepared you for studying medicine. The really good one is why have you decided to go into medicine now, rather than before. Also, I told them about my love for music and singing, so they asked me what I could bring from that into my studies and future career.

"The way in which you can discover whether you have these qualities, and so demonstrate them to the selectors, is by having significant postgraduate work experience in the caring professions."

This is on the Leicester website.
Applicants with degrees in any subjects are encouraged to apply yet the above states they obviously prefer postgraduate healthcare professionals. Or is that just me?
