I guess the main thing was that it only took about 10-12 mins before they said we were done, which I took as a bad sign.

Bearing in mind that it was for the grad-entry course, I completely forgot to mention that I'd spent the last 6 months working as an A&E receptionist, a piece of information that didn't appear on my UCAS form or personal statement. I had done this work solely for my application, as I had no clinical experience, and this was my only opportunity to let them know.

On reflection, I think I got my answers to the most important questions right (why medicine? why leicester? how do you deal with pressure? etc), but I was not at all happy with the whole thing in general when I got out.

Not the interviewers' fault in any way. They were both perfectly friendly and encouraging, without giving too much away.

The question
" Tell me more about yourself"

- isn't that just what your hobbies are etc...

Do you think you should expand about your work experience/voluntary placements in this question, or its completely not answering the q?!!

Nah it's not. I was talking to a first year just before mine and she told us that at the end of her they asked her if she had any questions and her response was "Is it bad that my interview only lasted seven minutes?"

And she got in.

All my questions from Leicester were fine so they were laid-back in that sense. The only one I had to think about really was 'If we asked your friends to describe you in three words, what would they say?'. I could only think of two.
