I got an offer from Leicester with a UKCAT of 547.5. My GCSE's were 1A*, 3A's, 5B's and 2C's and AS's were ABBC (the C was due to extenuating circumstances).

anything above 600 is just fine. - dont worry.

You can more than make up for it with your personal statement.

how do they score the UKCAT? I heard that they take your lowest score and do something with it? I can't quite remember. Can someone enlighten me please?

From what I remember, you're ranked by your lowest score. Then you get up to 5 points for your UKCAT out of something like 30.

Well, my grades are worst: 1 A*, 2 A's, 4 B's and 1 C. I'm still applying and last year I got two interviews (though due to a hiccup in my application I didn't get in), showing they were fine with the grades. Just make sure you don't apply to places that emphasise on GCSE's.
