Dear all,
A new Society has been established in the north called SIMA North (all universities to the north of London)
It is an organization with the aim to help Iraqi's and also non-Iraqi students with their studies and careers who are studying either Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy and students of all other health related
vocations in the north of UK (Medically Allied Professions-MAP).
The aims of SIMA North are:
- SIMA shall hold the following as its aims and objectives. SIMA
-Shall strive to fulfill these aims and objectives in the course of the academic year as its commitment to its membership.
- Represent and cater for the needs of Iraqi medical, dental, pharmacy students, and students of all other health related vocations in the UK (Medically Allied Professions-MAP)
- Provide the students with a network of contacts of doctors and other health professionals that can be contacted for issues such as career advice, elective planning and research/audit opportunities.
- Reach out to pre-university students interested in applying to medicine
- To provide social, academic and emotional support to all
members, and to ensure their general well being.
- To provide information on facilities, talks, debates, charity and academic events in the area and further a field.
- To act as a vehicle to improve the situation in Iraq and as
portal for Iraqis within Iraq for meeting their feasible
requests.
