How to get to leicester from london by train?

I've found one route which involves travelling to a station called London St Pancras and then its a straight train to Leicester but London St Pancras is not a London underground station so I have no idea how to get there! Surely there must be an easier way. Any ideas?

St Pancras station is right nexto Kings Cross station, and they share a tube station called Kings Cross-St Pancras. In addition, it's about a 5 minute walk from Euston.

Take the tube to St Pancras.
Take a Midland Mainline train from St Pancras to Leicester.
Leicester Uni is only a five minute walk from the station so don't worry about transport once you get there.

    meeting up

Guys do u wanna like meet up in the station or smthng then go to lesta together from london?? It'll be so much fun instead of just sitting alone in a train or coach for two hours or more, besides this way we can get to know each other and we can look for places together esp in lesa where I personally have no idea where to go from the station Any one interested just PM me

Take the Euston Virgin train to either Birmingham or Nuneaton and there take the connect Central Trains to Leics - why? It's cheaper than the direct . Although if you pre-book online you can get £5 Midland Mainline singles to and fro London St Pancras to Leics.
