Clinical Science at Bradford University
Hey
Just wanted to ask a question about the Clinical Science course at Bradford. After the completion of Year 1, can I apply to other medical schools (via UCAS or not?) while trying to transfer to Leeds medical school?
Or can I do that after the completion of the foundation course?
Any information would be really helpful!
Thanks.

Technically you can't apply to another medical school whilst undertaking first year as you've made a contract with the University to undertake clinical sciences... however students to apply! But be warned if you secure an offer from Leeds AND get an offer from elsewhere they really don't like it and it can jeopardise your chances and your offers can be withdrawn. You can apple to other medical courses and if you get an offer let a tutor know and not apply to Leeds (a few students did that)
You can apply wherever you want in foundation year: you're under no obligation to carry on with the degree after the year is up.Smart Happily Ecstatic Heartily Nepotist Angel

Hi there,
I have received an offer for the Clinical Sciences/Medicine Foundation year in Bradford and am thinking of
applying to other universities on UCAS, as well as the Medicine course in Leeds. I know that there are some
medical schools in the UK that will accept my application on the basis of what I achieve during the year in
Bradford (not A-Levels), but I'm not sure which ones they are. Do you know which universities would accept
the Clinical Science Foundation year for entry to their 5-year medicine courses?

Thank you very much for your reply Chappers. I agree all medical schools are great. You get the qualification in the end.
Im working hard for entry to Leeds but just wanted to increase my chances of securing a place. Ive heard that some univeris
accept an application from the foundation course at Bradfors but that information is not clear from the website.
Are you at Leeds med school at the moment?
