Nope, you don't need to change it. And don't try and convince them at interview that you want clin sci (unless you actually DO want to do it as a career of course). They know that most people who apply want medicine, they expect this and if you lie they will see through it and your integrity will be called into question.... never lie on your CV at any level.... the GMC take it very seriously. Med schools take it very seriously. No one will trust a medic who lies. Be honest.

Your best bet is too ring up and speak to someone in the office ... Dr Debbie Hepworth or Andrea Diston are your best bets. They are both really friendly and would be more than happy to give you advice.
Last year they were interviewing up till April so I know that interviews will still be going on. It has gone through clearing in the past but the numbers that they offer at that stage are getting smaller each year as the course is becoming so popular and people are being offered places first time round. Last year only foundation year went through clearing.
Chances of getting into medicine - well I personally think that everyone has just as good a chance as anyone. As long as you work hard and get the grades you need to apply for the interview then you are in with just as good a chance as your peers, at that stage it will go on the strength of your application, your reference and an interview. Like Sara said, Leeds are not obliged to take the full 20, they could take just one person if they feel like it! But usually the majority of the 20 places are given. Also, even if you are unsuccessful with the Leeds transfer, there is a really high graduate output into medicine too!
It is a really good course and does really prepare you for medicine. If medicine is what you really want to to, I would definately reccomend Clin Sci!

Well that was just that year

It depends on the strength of the cohort that particular year. The year I was in Foundation Year they took about 19 across. It really does vary according to the year group.
