anyone else rejected and put on waiting list.

got my rejection letter today, updated on ucas yesterday.

i have been put on a waiting list, if any places are left in august.

anyone else in the same situation and is it possible to get in this way you think??????

i found out first on ucas, it was updated on wednesday but only checked it yesterday.

i also got the letter yesterday.

I've been rejected from leeds and also put on a waiting list. Thing is, I've been rejected from the other 3 unis without interview too, so this waiting list option is my only hope.

Does anyone know how many students get on to the course this way?

Hey people,

I also got rejected from leeds kind of prepared myself for it. I got two offers from two other unis for medicine but i really want to go to leeds. Can i still be put on the waiting list?

Instead of going through clearing, they offer spare places (if they have any) to people who applied to them in the first place, people who really wanted to come to Leeds and people who's personal statements they've seen/interviewed. It's better for them because they have a better idea of who they're taking onto the course, and fairer for the people who applied to Leeds in the first place because they aren't competing through clearing for people who didn't want to go to Leeds in the first place.

The best thing to do would be to get in contact with the Medical School and ask.
