I know of the study.. there are some conflicting sources of information and as far as i can find nothing definitive, but then again there's only so much measuring can do and sometimes you have to apply common sense - basically destruction of most of the brain by shock SHOULD beat cutting something's throat.

absolutely nothing related to leeds, not even going there , but what about a dad that came to see you checked into the halls then left?

I don't think anyone's going to find that weird. I checked freshers into halls for two years running, and I can count on my hands the number of people who didn't have a parent or guardian type person with them.

Apart from anything else... shifting boxes from cars into rooms goes a heck of a lot faster with help.

Tell her to do a course at the uni nearest where you folks live now, alone, for the proper experience. It wouldn't be right for either of you if she came with.
