You will not be able to gain a place on first year clin sci this year- all places have been filled and it didn't go into clearing. There are places on foundation year clin sci- the last day for interviews is this wednesday. So if you are thinking about doing clin sci foundation year and want a place this year ring them asap.

If you go into foundation year, yes you can apply to other medical schools. BUT you can't apply to Leeds Medical school if you are holding a UCAS offer elsewhere. Year one is slightly different you're on a degree course so aren't really meant to apply elsewhere however people have done and have been successful in getting into other medical schools and dropped out of clin sci.

If you have the grades to apply to medical school, I'd recommend you taking a gap year and applying. If you don't, foundation year is a great year which allows you to progress to Leeds.

However, you have nothing to lose if you go into foundation year, it's only a years course and you'll be learning not only chemistry and biology but new skills which are ideal for medical school.

I got AAAA in A-levels, but do you think i will have a better chance of getting into leeds via the foundation year or normal UCAS entry (btw i did get rejected by leeds this year without an interview).

Take a gay year and re-apply. Clinical sciences won't normally put you on foundation year with those grades, they'd put you on first- but year one didn't do into clearing this year.

You can use your gap year to gain more experience and get your personal statement looking ace.
