yr 2 spot test...need help

Hi
Im just wondering if ne one cud help, i have a spot test soon, im in 2nd yr med school, my spot test is on the upper neuroanat and head and neck. Im finding it difficult to learn the attachments of all the muscles, its too much! do we have to know them because we are going to be examined on them or to make them easier to locate? also could ne body suggest a good anatomy book to revise from that has the actual dissection pictures rather than coloured diagrams?????
thanx

Try Gosling's Human Anatomy & Text, my demonstrator uses that one. Also McMinns Colour Atlas of Human Anatomy (by Abrahams et al). They have pictures of dissections and diagrams. There should be a few in the library with the other anatomy books.

Why don't you ask your tutor about the spot test if you're unsure what you should be revising? Or maybe a third year that sat the test last year?

Yes you have to know muscle attachments as well as where they are and what function they perform.

Gosling is a really good anatomy atlas and was what I used. There is also nothing wrong with using the anatomy colouring book as well.
