What kind of reading have you done outside of college? (medically related)
Lots and lots of questions on work experience, what i did, for how long, what I learned from it, how I organised it etc....
Have I read about anything in the last few years about how waiting times in A&E could be reduced?
Are there any groups in society that have different healthcare needs?
What kind of responsibilities do doctors have?
Who are doctors responsible for?
Have I had any experience of responsibility? How did I find that?
Have I had any experience of being part of a team?
Do you enjoy being a leader? What did your role as a leader entail?
What are your hobbies and interests?
What interests would you like to continue at Leeds? Would you try anything new?
What is a doctor's most important responsibility?
Are there any questions I would have liked them to ask, i.e. areas they hadn't asked about which I thought were my particular selling points
What about you makes you think you will be a good doctor?
What other resources are important to health other than money?
What groups require most care in medicine?
What do you do to relax?
How will I cope with being a doctor 24 hrs/7days a week for the rest of my life?
What qualities make a good doctor?
Do you think you could cope with the stress?
How do you manage to organise your time between school and sport?

Not only that, but he's also applying for a uni which he believes is second rate... How come you're not applying to Leicester, Anthony?
From Leeds or Leicester?

Handbags away gentlemen!! I think Brian has covered the major questions you are likely to be asked. There is nothing in a Leeds interview that should take you totally by surprise so long as you are well prepared.
Watch the news and think through what questions are likely to be asked - think about what qns they might ask based on your PS and you will do fine.
But make sure you know what you are getting yourself in for - there is nothing worse than someone who doesnt know what is going to happen to them when they graduate: know the career path, and if i were you id read something about the changes it is undergoing at the moment under MMC - its a very controversial issue, and in my opinion would make an excellent interview qn at Leeds of anywhere else!!Marc

Further to the interview questions make sure you know how to answer ethical scenarios. At my interview last year euthanasia was brought up in relation to patients with a terminal illness.
Do not say anything controversial.

Leeds only accepts really mature people... (they made a mistake with me!).
Good luck with the interviews... if you're lucky (or some may say unlucky) I'll be on the panel.Leeds Widening Access to Medical School (WAMS) Scheme
