why do you keep posting this? i find it hard to believe that you have been throught the medical school admissions process yet still think that some schools are inferior? in particular i cannot believe that you would turn down a med school offer because 'you heard the standard was rubbish'...

Yep, that's exactly what I would say... if I actually bought into the whole League Table crap.

The GMC do not allow standards to be rubbish in any medical school.

If you think you can do better then turn it down, however no medical school will accept you if you have turned down a previous offer without good reason.

If you're going to go to the university with the view that it is 'the shittest' you wont have a chance, you get out what you put in and a negative attitude wont help. If you are so bothered about how good it was, why did you apply?

The GMC reviewed the medical course up in leeds in 2005, where it produced a glowing report of the medical school, and were commended on many areas, which, at the time, had it highly ranked (i cant find the document i'm afraid).

As for the original post, you buy the tickets individually, but there is a special offer if you buy the intro party and fresher ball tickets together. There are loads of freshers stuff happening around leeds, so dont feel that you have to go to the union events.
