Interviewed on Feb 16th?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know of anyone else that was interviewed on the 16th? I was interviewed in the morning (first one in) and thought it went alrite actually.

I had 2 docs (consultant anaesthetist and cons. cardologist) and a 4th year med student. Most of the qs were asked by the med student actually!

They included:

Why do you want to be a doctor?
What did you learn from your work experience?
Have you done any voluntary work?
What did you learn from it?
Which groups need special attention in regards to healthcare?
If you were the Health sec. which group would you give most money to?
What would you like to carry on at Leeds?
Do you think teamwork is important?
What extracurricular acitivities do you do?
Is it important for doctors to have varied interests? Why?

They also asked me stuff about my PS and how my extracurricular stuff etc would help me as a doctor.

Like i said, i thought it went alrite. All 3 were really friendly and it was really relaxed as well. It lasted about 20-25mins.

I spoke to the admissions sec outside afterwards and she said that they will let people know between the 1st and 2nd week of March.

So fingers crossed!

1st and 2nd week of March... ooh that's really soon  Is that for everyone or just the people interviewed on the 16th?

My interview is on Wednesday and I'm scaaaared. This is my first and possibly, the way things are going, only interview and I can't help but be terrified.

Are the interviewers very serious or is it quite relaxed?

Hey Jenny,

you'll be fine don't worry, the interviewers were really relaxed and friendly - and even went out of the way to say that weren't going to ask anything tricky at the start which i thought was nice! It's just a chat really, just relax and be honest and it should go fine.

Yeah i think the early-mid march thing is for everyone, because they get back to everyone around the same sort of time.

Hope i really get an offer!

Thanks for posting your questions up. It helps us know, to some extent, what to expect!

Even though the questions are relaxed, I can't help but feel a bit terrified about the interview.

Just 3 days left now ...
