Would you like some ketchup for that chip on your shoulder?

A rather sweeping generalised statement that you have made there. Any evidence, or educational research to back such a statement? Or is this just your mindless, pathetic ramblings?

I agree with crog80, sometimes I feel like giving up on helping people on this forum because the same old crap gets banded about every year. Why are people always quick to look for an excuse for their failings outside of the fact that they wern't the best candidate?

Unfortunately Toffe_Kid, medicine is riddled with "upper middle class" doctors. Such a shame I know....there might even be a few of these indolent, slothful people in your medical school.

True. the same conversation comes up everytime. and it gets nowhere. it's a shame that there's always a lack of empathy between different social classes.

i totally disagree with your point of view amarillo_returns but im not going to get involved in this

what might 'elp is if the posh peeple going to £20,000 A vl colleges could spare a fort for the penniless applicants.
that way, i wuldnt ave to work like 50+ 'ours a week in ma 'olidays whislt they swan off abroad, and 30+ 'ours a week in term whilst they sleep in lectures.
i mean, even a small loan from ONE poshie would ave meant i could 'ave stopped worked afore the exam period.
but sadly some of them never never do. its all me, me me for some of them, 'lets not elp the poor into med skool (even though i could easily afford to wiffout missing a penny) and thru it as long as i'm ok'.

on a brighter note, a fellow posh mature student friendof mine lent me a laptop (which i cant afford), so once again they aint all dumb! he was very kind to elp me.

i agree there needs to be more empathy between classes.
over forums its hard to tell who is making inferneces about what and class is a difficult thing.. especially as those who are not upper class are almost crossing the class barrier by going to uni.. esp to do medicine.
    its difficult
