My offer was AAB, my prediction was ABC, I got AAC. (Bio, Geog, C in Chem, C in AS art )

    GCSEs wise: A*AAAAABBCC

I am currently a 3rd year at Keele. If you don't have an impecible grade sheet don't worry. Some universities have finally realised that it takes more than straight grades to make a good doctor.
    Keele 5th year.

    This is reassuring...

    Oright guys
I've applied to Keele, Sheffield, Leeds & Leceister

My AS grades weren't too cracking - ABCC, but i've been predicted AAB - so i hope I'll be able to get interviews.
    I got GCSEs - 6A*s, 7As & 1B
My average UKCAT score was 580

I've managed to get a conditional offer from Bradford onto the clinical sciences course
I just hope i get an interview!!!

At AS I got AAAAB (Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Biology).

At A2 I'm predicted AAAA (Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Biology).

GCSE is where I let myself down a bit, A*A*AAAABCC (Double Science, Maths, English Language, English Literature, Electronics, French, History, Drama. I'm really hoping this won't go against me.

UKCAT however I did quite well -
    1. Verbal Reasoning: 780
    2. Quantiative Reasoning: 660
    3. Abstract Reasoning: 750
    4. Decision Analysis: 790
    5. Non-Cognitive Analysis:
"Compared to the responses of other people, your responses suggest that you appear to balance being self-suficient, discreet and happy to make your own decisions with being socially and emoionally engaged and outgoing."

Just hoping that'll be enough despite not having a collection of A* grades at GCSE.

    Thumbs up

I'm pleased with the AS grades, A2 grades and UKCAT. I'm just concerned as a lot of people seem to have atleast 5 A* grades, some have 9 or 10! While I only have 2 A* grades. Always wondered if my C grades in history & drama would come back to haunt me.

Or that I had been given an A* in maths coursework as had the whole group (as expected from an express group doing the exam early), examiners decided something was up and marked everyone down to a B for coursework, then did well in the exam but not quite well enough to get an A* overall.

Your grades are good, particularly at GCSE level which is something they do take into account, how much they do varies from place to place it seems. Birmingham expect between 5 & 7A* from all applicants without fail.

I've applied to Keele, Leicester, Liverpool & Manchester:
    *Liverpool have said no.
*Manchester said i should know by yesterday, I haven't heard anything.
*Keele & Leicester haven't said anything since the 'thankyou for applying' messages.
