Hey starletk,
I think that you may be a little ahead of the time. All I have recieved is an acknowledgement (dated 13/10/06) of my application being received by the med school. From what I see on their schedule letters asking students for an interview won't be sent until late november (probably for non-year 12 leavers) for a december interview. Then another lot of letters will be sent out early january for a mid january interview.
So you still have at least another month to go before you can even think about more letters.
Fingers crossed eh?

Hey starletk,
Did you also apply to other medical universities in australia? Have you received any replies from any of them yet?
Cheers,

Hey,
I have applied to Newcastle and Western Sydney as well but from what i can gather we do not find out until late Nov at the soonest. So it looks like we are just gonna have to sit back and wait unitl then. Are you applying to James Cook University? Or any other oze uni's.

Hey Starletk,
I applied to Monash, UNSW, University of Adelaide and Tasmania University. I applied to James cook University, only to realise that its medical degree is not recognised by my home country at the moment. So I gave up the application. Received offers from 2 of the universities already. the other two are still pending.
I never knew that Newcastle and Western Sydney offered medicine. Is it an undergraduate course or post graduate course? I applied for the undergraduate courses.

Hi everyadam,
Just received a letter from University of Tasmania informing me of my rejected application for Medicine MBBS and Pharmacy course. I am from Singapore. What about you? Any news from University of Tasmania for your application and which country are you from?
Are you applying for 2007 entry into medicine as well? Have you accepted any offer so far?

Hey everyadam,
Interesting to note that you will also be studying medicine too. (same interest!) I will be going to Monash University Australia to study medicine too. It will be good if we can share notes on medical issues in the future. Do you have any msn to correspond with?
