Other Unis accepting grad entry in Ireland?

Hi,

I know the UC of Dublin, UC of Cork, Royal College of Surgeons, and uni of Limerick have graduate entry programs and accept GAMSAT.

Is there other unis that offer graduate entry medicine in Ireland, and what entry exam do they require??

Hey Oiyafa,

Unfortunately those are the only colleges in Ireland that offer graduate entry to medicine courses.

RCSI on the open day told me that you can apply as a mature student once you're over 23, but your leaving cert points should be above 450, else you will not be shortlisted for an interview which is part of the entry requirements.

But how do I know if my certs will get 450 pts??

I have university degree from Egypt formally equivalent to a 1st class UK degree...is this fine??

Your leaving cert is your final exams from secondary school, so I'm not sure how they'll calculate it, if you have straight A's or a mix of A's and B's from your final year then you probably will get over the 450 points requirement.

If you did A-levels after that even better but you can ring the RCSI for more info. And remember this only applies if you are going through the mature student route and not the graduate medicine route.

Your degree should be fine you can get it checked out by the colleges but if it is the UK equivalent then it should do.
