Ah sorry I think I quoted the wrong person - I meant noodlepeg. If you handed yours in person it should be grand but no harm getting confirmation for your 35e :-D

guys - know this isn't exactly the question that's being answered - but what exactly did you send - I have my degree cert here (haven't sent it yet cos needed it for other things) - wary of sending original - did anyone send a photocopy - i think i did last year - can't find the transcript with exact marks in modules - have you all sent this as well - I'm pretty sure they didn't ask for it this year, but as I read it we do need it this year - I've been moving in and out of various houses and can't find a thing - and work is nuts so never at home - starting to panic!!!!

I sent in the transcript of exam results (original copy stamped by college). There is no need to send a copy of the actual degree....

oh so did you send in a copy of your degree? Was it officially stamped and did it show that you got at least a 2.1? if so, that might be grand. Better call them first.

have not sent anything yet in this academic year - I remember that last year I received a letter from CAO mid-afternoon on a Saturday asking that I have a copy of my certificate with them by Mon am - it was never going to happen - at that stage I emailed them asking what could I do -in the end my certificate- stamped by uni - was faxed to them - this is why I'm a bit wary this time - CAO seem totally disorganised - and I'm not even convinced that when they use the word "transcript" that's what they mean! I'll phone them - emailing doesn't get a very speedy response! Thanks guys

Hey you guys, I sent a photocopy of my Trinity transcript thing. Which was basically just a student record for each year, but at the end it said i got a 2.1 this year. I think so long as it's something official saying your got a 2.1 they're happy...

Hello all, first post here --
I sent the CAO a copy of my TCD degree back in March, which is exactly what they asked for. (With an English translation, for good measure). They sent me a letter in April saying that my degree certificate wasn't sufficient proof of “… a minimum II:1 (second class honours, grade one) result in your FIRST honours bachelor degree (NFQ Level 8) awarded, or equivalent.”; apparently this Trinity certificate is very exotic altogether for them.
I started the appeals process, and sent them a letter from Trinity saying exactly what they said they wanted to know, and they've told me that all Graduate Medicine documents (including my case) will be reviewed on July 18th. So I'm on tenterhooks, and glad that the registration process for the UK GAMSAT is open until the 17th of August, because while my Irish GAMSAT mark was respectable enough, I'm going to try for a higher mark if I need to apply again there.
So, yeah, CatherineT, you're not the worst off in this ;-) .
(For anyone curious on the numbers and the competition for places, my choices were RCSI, UCD, Cork and Limerick, in that order, and my GAMSAT score was 63.)

Hi Aidan, I can imagine why a little uncertainty can make you feel nervous but from what you say it sounds like there will not be any problem for you. I have the same list of preferences as yourself and a 62 so heres hoping.
