are we both talking bout the graduate entry programme - cos my background is a history degree with arts a levels - I did do a little bit of science but not very well - so I tend not to admit to that.
So - not eligible for the accelerated programme at Trinity

Hi matt, i think most of us on this thread are doing graduate entry...which means we're old foggies and already have degrees. You're doing it the normal way.
I know people who did it in UCD and have only heard good things for the normal undergraduate course. I'd definately go with that. Galway and Cork also have excellent reputations. I'd be weary of Trinity and RCSI for the normal course. Trinity has a bad rep for the way they teach and RCSI has a bad rep for taking some foreign students who dont have the same good grades as the rest of the class and then slowing the whole class down and compromising the quality of the teaching you get. That's debatable though and may not be all that true. If you want to stay in Dublin, I'd say UCD, RCSI, Trinity. Otherwise I'd put UCG and UCC in after UCD.

that is u/g - and I'm afraid I'm not the best to be giving advice on that - I know one or two folks who went to ucd straight from school and seem to have got on okay - but am afraid I don't keep in touch with them well enough to give proper answers - my decisions are all based purely on my time and situation now - hope some of the other folk on here can help you

Looking at the Medical School website, it would appear Trinity don't realize that they *have* a GEP. Doesn't bode well.
UL class of 2012.
I think my brain is full.
