Student Visa
For those of you who are already studying within the UK, how exactly does the Student Visa process work?
I'm coming from Canada; if anyone from Canada could let me know it would be great. How long the process took? And do visas ever get rejected? And any additional info you would like to add.
Thanks!

in short, you have to download a form from your British embassy website and simply get a paper copy from them. Fill it in and then together with some other documents (e.g. offer letter, bank letter), return to them. I did mine once in Hong Kong, took me 1 week before hearing from them. My second application was an extension of my student visa, did it through my university here and took 2 weeks.
in theory your university should issue a guideline for international students for their visa applications. If not, officers at the embassy would also be in help if you need any.
hope this helps.2005: MBChB Medical Studies, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Quitted)
