    Internationals Interviews/ Offers

    Hi,
I was wondering if any internationals have received interview offers and, if so, for which institutions? Also, feel free to post any offers that you may have received. Good luck!

OK, for whatever reason, I can't post new threads so I'm just going to post my question here. When can we expect to hear from schools for interviews? I'm looking most specifically at Dundee, King's and Newcastle. If there are any international students who got interviews there last year-when did you find out you had an interview, when was it and were the dates flexible?

    Hey Kam,
I think you should seriously try for Ireland before going to Caribbean. It is very expensive, but there is no stigma attached and their placement rates for residency are high as well.

nah, i looked into this, ireland isn't that much better because caribbean has clerkship in the US which is a HUGE plus. Going to a good caribbean school and killing the boards is better than ireland, especially considering ireland is about 100K more expensive. If anything australia is a far better/cheaper option... but it has issues with residency training which aren't all that different from the UK

in terms of the US residencies; international is international... its the US clinical experience/US letter of ref's that matter the most

EDIT: i should clarify that when i say better i mean in terms of securing a residency spot in the US
