I heard Sheffield wants 675 for UKCAT this year but this is not confirmed by any reliable source. Your UKCAT score looks good although you might already know the competition for med school places is getting crazier. I am not sure abt UCL coz it uses BMAT (which I hadn't done). Leicester seems to emphasize a lot on your clinical experience/community work.

btw what would be your insurance? That will be the other side of the balance

Yeah in fact the ukcat cutoff was the reason why I gave up on Sheffield last year (I was originally going to apply) but if my ukcat went smooth then I will consider applying there...or else newcastle

the thing is i know practically nothing about newcsastle (in terms of their admission criteria, other than what's stated in the prospectus). i posted a thread asking for help in the newcastle forum but haven't got any reply yet...do u happen to know anything about newcastle?

about my insurance...i m not sure where i am going to apply but it will probably be quite unlikely for me apply to medicine at GEP if i fail again..as family probably wouldn't want me to....i m quite keen on maths but do u know anyone who has put down economics as their insurance? or else i am thinking biomedical science at imperial (in which case i will probably reapply at GEP)

I was born in HK but moved to Singapore for education. Am I eligible to post under this thread?

I just took my UKCAT in Beijing and got 710. I'll be graduating with a second upper honours degree in biomedical science and I have close to 2 years of work experience in a hospital in Beijing. I have quite some other non-medical work experiences before and during my undergrad years... I'm intending to apply to King's GEP, Warwick GEP, Newcastle 5-yr and Sheffield 5-yr. Could anyone comment on my chances and my choices please? Thanks!

Hey everyone it's me again

I'm taking my UKCAT tomorrow!! And am panicking now and I wonder what kind of marks did you guys get?
Looks pretty scary out there as many people claim they have marks 700+!
